George Kell, who won a batting title in 1949 as a member of the Detroit Tigers and would go on to be enshrined in baseball’s Hall of Fame while also becoming a legendary broadcaster, was one of the staff members at FCA’s national conference in Estes Park, Colo., in August, 1958.
